Final Thoughts on #31WriteNow

I know #31writenow is not officially over but tomorrow will be a Look of the Daypost.

It has been a great experience and I’ve learned a lot about blogging, what I want to do as a blogger, what I have to do as a blogger, and even picked up a few new supporters.

It has become easier for me to write and when I haven’t written a post I notice and others notice. Also, it has caused me to use my inspiration more productively. Everything is an opportunity to blog! It’s also become a great coping mechanism. Particularly because I have decided that this is going to be a positive blog meaning that if it isn’t going to improve the readers life even in a small way I’m not writing it. Knowing that has kind of changed my perspective on how I deal with my day-to-day problems. Having a bad day? Saw something bad on the news? Feeling out of control? Blog. Forcing myself to do something positive makes the bad things not so bad and makes me feel like I’m adding more positive energy to the world.

Now the bad side of this challenge is that I’m not the fondest of locking myself into things and feeling obligated to do anything that doesn’t fit my mood at the time. There are enough things in life that you have to do even when you don’t want to, I don’t want this to be one of those things. Most of the time it wasn’t that I didn’t want to write, I just didn’t always want to write about certain topics which brings me to my next point.

I felt like I couldn’t write about certain topics because I could not do them justice. I couldn’t make my posts as dynamic as I wanted to because I had to put something out that day and I didn’t want to “waste” the little bit of time I had writing a post that I could not put out. I also didn’t really have as much time to support other bloggers in the challenge because I was so busy trying to put out content. Blogging is definitely a full time job.

Overall, it was a great experience and I’m excited to bring you more blogs and better content! Have a great weekend!

Thanks for your comment :)
