It’s amazing that since doing this challenge, not blogging/tweeting/instagramming for the past 5 days, has made me feel like I fell off the planet. I used to not blog for a month and barely notice. Well, I took a much needed vacation and even though I am still participating in the #31WriteNow challenge, I felt like I deserved a much needed break from everything.
Sometimes we take vacas and we only take breaks from parts of our life, like our day jobs, but what about the other parts of our life that although may be fun also may call for a break?
I feel like this break has renewed my excitement for blogging, working, homelife and my future. I feel like I can take on the world now. During my flight, I had time to start reading The 4-Hour Work Week by Timothy Ferriss which has definitely added to my renewed spirit. I will let you know more of my thoughts on the book later when I finish it.
So where did I go on my trip? I went to Miami Beach. This was my second time being to Miami and the last time I visited was about 10 years ago. This trip had me thinking: “Why don’t I visit Miami more often?” Miami has both the quiet and the poppin’ (my trip focused more on the quiet hence why I can feel reenergized and not exhausted).
I also stayed at Canyon Ranch which is a Health & Wellness Spa, which was simultaneously luxurious and also a reminder of the simple pleasures in life like taking care of your body and getting some peace and quiet.
Anyway, I have lots of things I am excited to blog about but of course I still want to continue some of the weekly posts I do such as Turn Up Tuesday (which I will post tomorrow) and look of the week. Therefore I may try to fit in two of each this week.
